Order Automation With EDI
Use our integrated system to send and receive orders electronically via EDI. We will process all EDI documents like Purchase Orders, Shipping Notices, Invoices, and Acknowledgements during the order lifecycle for you.
With our solution, you can reduce manual intervention, gain real-time tracking ability, reduce delays, and automate the entire order lifecycle process.

Order Automation Workflow
1. Purchase Order Creation:
Your internal system (ERP/eCommerce platform) generates a purchase order (PO) when a customer places an order.

2. EDI Translation:
Commerce Network’s platform converts purchase orders into the correct EDI format (e.g., EDI 850), ensuring compliance with industry standards for electronic transactions.
3. Secure Transmission:
Secure data transmission of the EDI-formatted purchase order to the supplier (trading partner) through an approved communication method (e.g., AS2, VAN, FTP) is done.

4. Supplier Acknowledgment:
The supplier receives the purchase order and sends back an acknowledgment (EDI 997) via our platform, confirming receipt of the order.
5. Order Fulfillment:
The supplier processes the order, prepares the shipment, and generates relevant documents such as the advance ship notice (ASN) or shipping label (EDI 856).

6. Shipping Notice and Invoice:
The EDI 856 (advance ship notice) is sent to you, detailing the shipment information. Once the order is fulfilled, the supplier sends an EDI 810 (invoice) to you through us.
7. Order Reconciliation and Payment:
Your internal system receives the invoice, reconciles it with the original purchase order, and initiates payment, electronically.

8. Real-Time Updates and Monitoring:
Throughout the process, Commerce Network enables real-time order tracking and quickly resolves issues like data errors or transmission failures.
